Placenta encapsulation is a great way to honour your placenta! Our placenta arts specialist can provide you with any of the following:
Your placenta is steamed, dehydrated, ground into powder, and placed into capsules for easy consumption.
A small piece of your placenta is placed into a dropper bottle with alcohol, to be used as a tincture beginning at least 6 weeks later. Many people choose to save this tincture and use it as needed, even years later. It keeps for a long, long time.
If it is long enough, the umbilical cord can be dried into a shape such as a heart, spiral, word, or initial, and given to you to keep. If you don’t wish to have an umbilical keepsake, the cord will simply be included in your capsules.
Placenta Art Print
Before being prepared for encapsulation, your placenta is pressed onto high quality artist’s paper, for a truly natural piece of commemorative artwork. Some parents like to put this in a baby book or even in a frame for the wall. It measures 11×14 inches.
Our placenta arts specialist will provide placenta encapsulation services in a sanitized workspace, wearing personal protective equipment, and following a strict preparation protocol that has been approved by the board of the Association of Placenta Preparation Arts (APPA).
